PEAS WITH MEAT SAUCE BASALA | |
1 lb. lamb meat, cut in sm. pieces 2 tbsp. butter 2 med. onions, sliced 1/2 c. tomato sauce 1 c. water 1 (16 oz.) cans peas or frozen peas 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. allspice Fry meat and salt, pepper, allspice, in 2 tablespoon butter. Add onion. Fry until onions are translucent. Pour tomato sauce over. Stir. Add 1 cup water. Simmer until meat is tender. Add peas. Cook 3 minutes if canned, 5-7 minutes if frozen. |
