APPLE CAKE 
1 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped raw apples
1 c. nuts

Measure oil into large bowl; add sugar and eggs. Beat until creamy. Sift dry ingredients together, then add a little at a time to the creamy mixture. Beat well. Fold in apples and nuts. Spread evenly in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

Bake 55 minutes at 350°F.

Icing:

1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. butter

Combine and cook 2 1/2 minutes. Spoon over cake while warm.
