JIFFY CINNAMON PINWHEELS
1 pkg. dry yeast
2/3 c. warm water
3 c. biscuit mix
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. soft butter
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Nuts and/or raisins (optional)

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Blend in egg and biscuit mix. Turn dough onto surface which has been dusted with additional biscuit mix. Knead 25-30 times. Cover and let rest couple of minutes.

Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Roll out dough in rectangle shape. Spread on butter. Sprinkle sugar mixture (nuts and/or raisins) and roll up jelly roll fashion. With seam side down, cut into 1 inch pieces.

Place on greased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. Cover with cloth. Let rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees F. 15 minutes. Remove when done and brush with butter or glaze with thin mixture of powdered sugar (about 1 cup) and warm milk or water (about 2 tablespoons) and drop of vanilla.
