1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar & 2 tsp. cinnamon (mixed together)

Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix butter, sugar and eggs. In separate bowl blend dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture. Mix well. Roll into balls. Roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400°F for 7 to 9 minutes.
