MERINGUE NUT PIE 
3 egg whites
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
14 square saltines
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. fresh peaches or strawberries
Whipped topping

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla. Crush saltines and fold into egg mixture with baking powder and pecans. Pour into well-greased 9-inch pie plate and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely. Fill pie shell with 2 cups sliced peaches or strawberries. Top with whipped cream.
