TAFFY MERINGUE | |
6 egg whites 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. (scant) cream of tartar Pinch salt 8 oz. Cool Whip 6 or 8 Heath Bars, crumbled (or Bits of Brickle) Beat eggs until foamy, add sugar, salt and cream of tartar gradually. Beat very, very stiff. Pour in ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 45 minutes at 275 degrees. When cool, cover with 8 ounces Cool Whip and sprinkle with fine Heath Bar crumbs. Refrigerate. May be made the day before serving. |
