SOUR CREAM BANANA CAKE 
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, blend thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Add bananas and pecans, mixing just until blended. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cool well and frost.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING FOR SOUR CREAM BANANA CAKE:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar

This was easy and very yummy!!! Very moist and fluffy used cake flour so did 2 cups plus 4 tbsp. flour as directed on cake flour box... Barely cooked 39 minutes and was perfectly done.
