ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1 lb. stew meat
1/4 c. olive oil
2 lg. cans tomatoes
1 c. beef broth or water
1 lb. ground pork
2 cloves garlic, sliced
2 cans tomato paste
1 bay leaf

Heat oil. In a skillet, brown garlic slices in oil, discard garlic. Brown stew meat in oil, remove. Form pork into balls, brown in oil, remove. Discard oil. Mix tomatoes, tomato paste, broth and bay leaf in saucepan, add browned meat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally for at least an hour. This can also be done in a crock pot.
