ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1/2 c. onion
2 tbsp. oil
Ground beef
2 cloves minced garlic
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Accent
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
1 c. water

In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until tender. Add meat and garlic, brown lightly. Add other ingredients. Simmer 2 1/2 hours or until thick with lid off.
