DELICIOUS! I cut a strip of bacon in quarters and just layed it across the top. Baked for 12, 15 minutes at 400°F and they turned out perfectly. The bacon was crisp and I'm sure the grease imparted it's own flavor while keeping them moist.
Great recipe!
Thank you. :)

I cook the bacon first and chop finely - add to cheese mixture. Fill peppers then roll in fine bread crumbs. Bake 15 min for hot, 30 min for medium, and 45 min for mild. Don't know why the extra time takes out the heat, but it does.

Made it tonight. Someone please remind me I have growing teenagers in the house. It was gone in no time flat. I guess I need to make a bigger one next time. ;-) Thank you so much for sharing.

This is a great recipe! I also added a part of a can of green chilis and a dash of taco seasoning to the cream cheese!

I have been making this for years. But I don't lay a piece of bacon on top. I buy thinly sliced bacon and wrap it around the Jalepeno with cheese mixture. Nice crispy bacon in every bite. Yum!

Excellent recipe. I diced a little tomato and added it into the cream cheese and wrapped the jalapeno half with a whole slice of bacon in a smaller tray. I pack them in tightly, too, so they soak in their juices. Not quite a finger food at that point, but it's incredible!

I blended a little bacon bits & finely diced onion into the cream cheese... wrapped in heavy duty foil - and grilled. FANTASTIC!!!!

These were awesome! My grandparents and friends loved it! One of my friends kept begging me for the recipe! I used mushrooms instead of part of the jalapenos.

I made 2 changes to the recipe and that was to change the cheese to "asiago" cheese and to wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper. The 15 people at the gathering went wild and the complete stock of peppers were gone in a few minutes. I almost didn't get any myself.

Awesome! Added a diced habanero to the cheese mix for a more well rounded heat. Really addictive.

This recipe is also excellent - if you use Hormel Bacon Bits and mix with the stuffing.
