CHOCOLATE WAFFLES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 sqs. (2 oz. total) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift flour, salt, and cinnamon together. Add to creamed butter mixture. Mix in melted chocolate and vanilla. Drop by big tablespoon on hot waffle iron. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Serve with ice cream (vanilla or peppermint) and top with chocolate sauce.
