BASIC TWO EGG YELLOW CAKE 
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/4 c. milk

Set oven at 350 degrees to heat. Grease then line with waxed paper, bottom of two 8 inch layer pans, 1 1/2 inches deep. Sift into large Mix Master bowl sifted flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter, mix well, add 1 1/2 cups milk, vanilla. Beat 1/2 minute on Number 1 speed to moisten flour mixture, then 2 minutes on Number 4 speed scraping bowl as necessary. Add eggs and the 1/4 cup milk, beat 1 1/2 minutes longer on Number 4 speed. Divide batter evenly into pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until done. Cool.
