BLUEBERRY BREAKFAST BREAD | |
Bread: 1/2 c. butter, softened 3/4 c. sugar 1 egg 2 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 2 c. fresh blueberries (frozen work as well) Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Fold in blueberries (batter will be thick). Spread into greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Topping: 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 firmly packed light brown sugar 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 c. butter, cut into small pieces Combine cinnamon, brown sugar and flour in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over batter. |
