CRANBERRY KUGEL 
1 can cranberries (whole berry, not jelly)
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter (1/4 lb)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup oats
1 apple (McIntosh or other tart apple)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine brown sugar and stick of butter. Beat until light, then add 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of oats. Mix all together. Press half of the mixture into a square pan which has been sprayed with non-stick spray or brushed with melted butter.

Slice apples in thin slices and make a layer of apples in pan. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Spread with the can of whole berries on top. Next, put the remaining mixture evenly over the top.

Bake for 30 minutes.
