TERIYAKI MARINADE FOR BEEF OR
CHICKEN
 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice or wine
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1/2 tsp. black pepper

Whisk together all ingredients and pour over steak or chicken pieces. Marinate 8 to 24 hours. Grill meat and use leftover marinade as a basting sauce.

Variation: Double all ingredients. Omit lemon juice. Add 1 whole lemon or lime sliced thinly.
