TEN MINUTE STRAWBERRY ALMOND PIE 
2 pt. lg. strawberries
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
2-3 drops red food coloring
2 c. whipping cream, whipped
1/2 c. sliced almonds
9 inch pastry pie crust

Bake crust. Combine 1 cup diced berries with cornstarch, sugar, water, lemon juice, and food coloring. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove caps from remaining berries. Place berries in pie crust, tips up. Pour thickened mixture over berries. Chill. Top with whipped cream and almonds just before serving. Serves 8.
