BUTTERSCOTCH CREAM PIE 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 c. water
1/3 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Bring milk to boil. Mix sugar and cornstarch together. Add water and beaten egg yolks. When milk boils, pour sugar, water and egg mixture in slowly, and stir until smooth and boiling. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie crust. Chill. Top with whipped topping. Makes 1 pie.
