SESAME COOKIES 
1 cup sugar
7 oz. shortening (Crisco)
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
milk, for dipping
1 (1 lb.) pkg. sesame seeds, for rolling

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add flavorings and mix well. Add baking powder to flour and mix well.

Knead and roll into ropes; cut into 2 1/2-inch lengths. Dip pieces into milk and roll on sesame seeds. Place in greased baking pan.

Bake at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
