HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
8 to 10 med. potatoes, boiled and skinned
6 slices of bacon, fried crisp
2 tbsp. flour
1 or 2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Dash of black pepper, salt
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
3/4 c. chopped onion

Slice skinned potatoes into bowl. Use 1/3 cup bacon drippings to saute onion, gradually stir in: flour, sugar, salt, pepper and celery seeds.

Add 3/4 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils, boil for 1 minute. Pour over potatoes and add crisp bacon pieces. Cover until ready to serve.
