GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
8-10 lg. potatoes
2 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
Salt and pepper
1 lb. bacon
2-3 tbsp. flour

Peel and boil potatoes. Let cool, then thickly slice into bite size pieces. Cut bacon into small pieces, fry to crispy. Add flour to bacon drippings to make a thick paste. Add water, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and add potato slices. Mix well again. Allow to simmer several hours.
