GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. to 1 lb. bacon
1/2 c. onion
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 c. vinegar
6 c. potatoes
2 hard boiled eggs

Cook bacon until crisp; drain (save 1/2 fat to cook onions). Blend flour, sugar, salt, celery seed, and dash of pepper; add vinegar and 1 cup water. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add bacon, potatoes, and eggs; heat thoroughly. Garnish with bacon curls.
