FRAN'S ITALIAN GRAVY 
10 to 16 oz. olive oil
3 cans tomato paste
1/4 clove garlic
3 tbsp. parsley
1 tbsp. oregano
2 to 3 lg. onions
2 lg. cans water
2 lg. cans tomato sauce
2 lg. cans tomato puree
Optional: flour to thicken if necessary

Take large saucepan on stove top and fill approximately 1/4 inch of bottom with olive oil then mice garlic clove and add to the oil. Heat on medium heat until oil is warm, then whisk in tomato paste. Keep stirring (do not stop or it will burn) stir approximately 15 minutes (mixture dark red color). Then add 2 to 3 cans of water, the onions, parsley, oregano. Then mix well keep on medium heat on stove top. Then after 1/2 hour add cans of tomato sauce and puree. Then mix well and let cook (simmer) with lid on the pot for approximately 2 hours. If excess oil skim off top of pot and if not thick enough add flour mixed with water.
