CINNAMON APPLES 
6 lg. apples
1/3 c. cinnamon heart candy
1 c. water
4 drops food coloring
1 c. sugar

Core and peel apples. Slice about 1/2-3/4 inch thick. Combine water, sugar, food coloring and candies in 2 quart saucepan. Boil until candy is dissolved completely.

Over medium heat add 4-5 slices of apples, simmer until tender. Repeat until all apples are done. Put apples and remaining juice in a bowl. Refrigerate. Best served cold.
