BAKED BEANS FOR FORTY 
4 lb. great northern beans
2-1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. molasses
3/4 c. brown sugar
1-1/4 c. catsup
4 lg. onions, finely chopped
1-1/2 c. bacon ends, cut into 1 inch pieces or 2 pounds fresh pork hocks

Wash beans and cover with water, bring to a boil and skim off sediment which appears, or soak overnight. Add half of the onions and the bacon. When beans are tender but not mushy, combine remaining ingredients and add to the beans. Place in large roaster or baking dish. Bake for an hour or longer if necessary to reduce amount of liquid at 350 degrees. Sliced bacon may be placed on top before baking.
