1 c. butter
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar and 3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Combine butter and sugars, beat until fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into batter. Cover and chill 3 to 4 hours. Roll out about 1/3 of the dough to 1/8 inch thickness on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Decorate as desired. Yield: 7 dozen cookies.
