1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. raisins or currants 6 tbsp. skim milk Combine dry ingredients. With pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is size of small peas. Stir in raisins and milk. On floured board, roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 2 inch circles. On UNGREASED sheet bake at 450 degrees for 9-11 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with jams or jellies. Delicious with Cinnamon Tea. |
