1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls. Roll in unbeaten egg whites, then into chopped nuts. Put 1/4 cup of maraschino cherries on top. Press down slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
