POPPY SEED CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. poppy seed (use whole poppy seed not ground up)
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 c. cake flour
3 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites, beaten but not stiff

Beat together first 6 ingredients. Add cake flour and vanilla. Mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in greased tube pan 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
