SQUASH CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. or slightly more sliced squash
1/2 c. minced onion
3 tbsp. sugar
1 stick butter
Sm. amount water
Salt to taste
1 box cornbread mixture, use both packages
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Cook squash, minced onion, sugar, butter, water and salt until squash is tender. Mix squash mixture with cornbread mix, sour cream and mushroom soup. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly.

(Can use chicken flavor Stove Top - use cream of chicken soup.) Top with packaged onion rings or reserve some of the Stove Top dressing mix, about 1/4 cup for topping.
