BUTTER PECAN TURTLE BARS 
2 c. flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, soft
1 c. pecans, chopped

CARAMEL LAYER:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make crust: Combine flour, brown sugar and butter. Stir by hand until mixture is finely mixed. Pat into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan, then sprinkle with pecans.

To make caramel layer: In a heavy saucepan combine butter and brown sugar. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture reaches a rolling bowl. Boil 45 seconds. Immediately pour over crust.

Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly and crust is light brown. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with chocolate. Wait 3 minutes then swirl chips. Cool completely. Cut into about 3 dozen bars.
