RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts

Mix butter and confectioners' sugar together. Add vanilla, flour and salt; then walnuts. Mix thoroughly. Make into balls size of walnut, roll in confectionery sugar and when out of oven and cold roll again in confectionery sugar. Bake 14 to 17 minutes in 350 to 400 degree oven. Watch closely as these brown very easily. You usually have to turn them over once.
