HAM 'N MANDARIN SALAD | |
1 clove garlic, cut in half 2 c. cubed cooked ham 1 c. thinly sliced celery 1/3 c. chopped green onion 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin slices 2 c. cut lettuce 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. or more, mayonnaise 2 tbsp. light or whipping cream 1 tbsp. vinegar Rub salad bowl with cut garlic. Combine ham, celery, onion, walnuts and orange slices in bowl. Cover and chill. Just before or 1/2 hour before serving, blend rest of ingredients, except lettuce. Pour over ham mixture and toss. Add lettuce and toss again. |
