TURKEY CHOW MEIN | |
2 c. turkey roast, cooked and diced 1/2 c. celery, diced 1/3 c. green pepper, diced 1/3 c. diced onion 2 tbsp. vegetable shortening 1 c. beef or chicken bouillon Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 lb. or 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (optional) 1/3 c. shredded blanched almonds (optional) 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 (16 oz.) pkgs. chow mein vegetables Cook celery, peppers, and onions in hot oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients, except almonds. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles. Sprinkle with almonds. |
