BUTTERMILK PIE 
Do not open oven door while pie is in oven!

1 1/2 c. sugar
4 1/2 tsp. flour
2 lg. eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. thick buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 unbaked lg. pie shell, chilled

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine sugar and flour. Beat eggs and add to flour-sugar mixture. Mix well. Add melted butter and buttermilk. Mix well. Fold in flavorings. Pour into chilled pie shell. Bake 15 minutes in 400 degree oven. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake 45 minutes. Pie should be golden brown.
