OLD FASHIONED SUGAR COOKIES 
5 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. dairy sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt onto wax paper; reserve. Beat butter, sugar and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on high speed for 3 minutes. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Gradually add flour, beating after each addition. Wrap dough in plastic or foil, chill 4 hours or overnight. Roll out dough, 1/4 at a time to a 1/4 inch thickness on lightly floured board. Cut with 2 inch cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased sheets. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
