HOMEMADE POUND CAKE 
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon extract

Soften butter, add eggs, and then all other ingredients. Grease cake pan an bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.

I would use Swansdown Cake Flour. Sift the cake flour three times and then measure again. Cream your butter and sugar. Add the eggs (room temperature) one at a time and beat well. Add flour small amount at a time and beat well. I would add one tsp vanilla and one tsp of lemon instead of Tbsp.

Excellent recipe!! Only thing is that I would use tsp of the extracts not tbsp. And instead of using lemon extract I used coconut extract... Delicious and a nice summer taste.

It was my first time doing the pound cake, the only mistake was that my cake fell apart when I flipped it. Have to find another way to grease pan better. I used butter.
