TERIYAKI MARINADE, FOR CHICKEN
OR STEAK
 
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3 mashed cloves of garlic
1 tbsp. gingerroot (fresh)
2 tbsp. sherry (optional)

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Marinate your choice of meat 4 to 12 hours in refrigerator. Baste with the marinate during cooking.
