HEARTY BEEF AND CHEESE PIE 
1 1/4 lbs. ground chuck
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
8 oz. can cut green beans, drained, or whole kernel corn, drained
Salt and pepper to taste
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 c. chopped onion
8 oz. can tomato sauce (1 c.)
4 oz. can cut up mushrooms, drained
1 egg, slightly beaten
Unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large skillet brown ground chuck, onion and green pepper. Drain any fat. Stir in tomato sauce, beans or corn, mushrooms and seasonings. Simmer while preparing the crust.

Using "fold out" pie crust makes this especially easy. Place pie crust in pie plate. Combine egg and 1 cup of the cheese. Spread over bottom of crust. Spoon hot meat mixture into crust. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serves 5-6.
