CHEWY STICKS 
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. oil
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. warm milk
2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
Caraway or sesame seeds for garnish

1. In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over 1/4 cup warm water. Let stand 5 minutes.

2. Stir in oil, sugar, salt and warm milk. Add about 2 cups flour and beat on medium about 5 minutes. (Works good in food processor.) Let dough pull from sides and be stretchy.

3. Stir in more flour until dough turns stiff.

4. Lightly flour counter. Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.

5. Grease dough in bowl and cover with plastic. Let rise 1 hour in warm place.

6. Turn dough out and knead to burp dough.

7. Cut into 12 pieces and let rest for 5 minutes. Roll into 12 pieces and let rest for 5 minutes. Roll into loop and twist. Place on greased baking sheet, brushing with oil. Sprinkle seeds. Let rise additional 20 minutes in warm place, then bake 15-20 minutes in 350 degree oven.
