OHIO APPLE CRISP 
4 c. chopped, unpeeled apples
1/4 c. corn syrup
3 tbsp. hot water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. rolled oats (quick or old fashioned)

In a 9 inch square baking pan place apples. Mix together corn syrup, hot water and lemon juice. Pour over apples. In a small bowl mix butter, brown sugar, flour, salt, and oats until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool slightly before serving. Perfect with ice cream, also good cold. (Serves 6.)
