1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. pecans

Melt butter in a small skillet. Stir in sugar. Add nuts and cook over moderate heat -- stirring constantly until mixture turns golden (about 3 minutes). Remove from heat and turn out on foil. Cool. Crumble.
