GRANDMA'S STOVETOP BREAD PUDDING | |
1 egg 1 c. milk 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 3 slices white bread, cubed 1/2 c. raisins Beat egg and milk in top of a double boiler. Add sugar, salt and cinnamon. Mix until blended. Add cubed bread to milk mixture. Add raisins. Cook over simmering water, covered, for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Makes 4 servings. |
