BANANA NUT CAKE AND ICING 
1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1/4 c. oil
1 tsp. baking soda
2 ripe bananas, mashed well
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. buttermilk

Mix soda well into cake mix. Add eggs, oil and buttermilk. Mix well. Add bananas and mix. Add nuts. Put into well greased and floured pans. Bake at 325 degrees until cake springs back at touch (or use toothpick; when it comes out clean it is done). Let cool.

ICING:

When cold, ice with: 1 pkg. white cake mix 1 ripe banana, well mashed

Chopped pecans can be put into icing or whole pecans on top rows to form a decoration. Banana must be ripe or icing will not be firm enough to stay on cake.
