MAUD GILREATH'S CRACKLIN' BREAD 
2 c. self-rising corn meal
1 tsp. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. chopped pork cracklings

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease and heat 1 (10") iron skillet. Measure corn meal and sugar into mixing bowl. Measure corn meal and sugar into mixing bowl. Add eggs, bacon drippings and milk. Beat until smooth. Fold in cracklings. Pour into hot skillet. Bake about 20 minutes.
