CRACKLIN BREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 lbs. cracklings

Sift together cornmeal, flour, sugar, soda and salt. Combine buttermilk and beaten eggs. Stir in dry ingredients. Then stir in cracklings. Pour into greased sizzling hot pan. Bake 30 minutes in 4509 degree oven. Cut into squares, butter and serve hot.
