CRACKLIN' BREAD 
2 c. coarse corn meal
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cracklings
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk

Scald corn meal with water. Add salt and cracklings. Dissolve soda in the buttermilk and add to the meal mixture. Form into small pones with fingers and flatten slightly. Place on greased pan and bake in hot oven until brown.
