NEW ORLEANS BROWNIES 
4 eggs
1 lb. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 c. pecans, broken
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Grease and flour 8" square pan. Melt butter and sugar in double boiler, add the slightly beaten eggs. Cook and stir constantly about 5 minutes, if it gets to sticking, take from heat and cool. Add flour, baking powder, salt, pecans and vanilla. Cook in a slow oven about 300 to 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
