AGLIA E OLIO (SPAGHETTI AND CLAM
SAUCE)
 
1 lb. spaghetti or linguini, cooked with plenty of water. DO NOT DRAIN
1/2 to 3/4 c. vegetable oil
6 to 8 cloves garlic, chopped
1 can white clam sauce

In separate frying pan, saute garlic in the oil until light brown. (Do not overcook. Garlic will burn very fast.) Add garlic and oil (aglia e olio) to pot of cooked spaghetti or linguini and stir to mix. Heat clam sauce in separate saucepan. Serve spaghetti in bowls and top with clam sauce. Serve with Italian bread (great for dipping in the juice!) Makes 6 servings. Note: Top with crushed red pepper seed for a spicy flavor.
