ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk with 1 tsp. baking soda added
3 1/2 c. plain flour (save 1/2 c. to roll) (If cake flour is used, add 1 tbsp. per cup of flour)
1/2 lb. orange candy, chopped
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 c. coconut
2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, flour and milk slowly, alternately. Roll candy, etc. in flour. Add to batter. Bake in tube pan at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.

Mix 1 cup orange juice and 1 cup powdered sugar. Bring to a boil and pour over the cake. Leave in pan overnight.
