BUTTERSCOTCH REFRIGERATOR COOKIES | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg, well beaten 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. chopped nuts 1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Cream shortening and brown sugar together until light. Stir in egg, then add sifted dry ingredients. Add nuts and vanilla and blend thoroughly. Place mixture on waxed paper and form in a roll. Roll up in waxed paper and chill for several hours or overnight until firm enough to cut. Slice and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. |
